1-Minute Devotional: Touching Grass

1-Minute Devotional: Touching Grass

READ: Psalm 33.

Your little bit of faith is enough.

His eyes are on you! God knows your name and He knows exactly what you need when you need it.

You were never meant to carry the weight of tomorrow- or even the weight of today. Everything you need is on it's way.

Reliantly trust in the Father. These verses just came to mind: "You fathers- if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! So if you sinful people know hot to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him."

God wants to fill every place where you feel weak, tired or burdened with His presence. Invite him in to fill those spaces. Watch how he works- you won't regret it.

I love the way Eugene Peterson puts it: "You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you, there is more of God and his rule." <3

PRAY: God, I'm tired. I need Your comfort and peace today. Speak to my heart in a personal way. Show me Your perspective. I'm relying on You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

LISTEN: Too Good to Not Believe from Tribl/Maverick City Music and Prince of Peace by Hillsong United.

CHALLENGE: If you're feeling overwhelmed, do something you genuinely love today. Whatever that looks like for you - going for a walk, calling your mom, basking in the sun listening to Zach Bryan. Give yourself an hour. Just chill.
